Alpha
The Alpha Course is a nationally controlled and recognised series of meetings designed to answer all the questions you ever wanted to ask about Christianity. It will help you to make an educated and informed decision about why people decide to become Christians and it may even change your life forever!
Who is it aimed at?
It is primarily aimed at people who are not Christians but would like to find out more about it and decide if they wish to live the Christian life. It is also for Christians who wish to reaffirm their belief and learn how to explain Christianity to others in a simple and informative way.
OK – So what’s the format?
Each meeting begins with a light meal which gives people a chance to get to know each other. People who attend Alpha come from all walks of life and many lasting friendships build from attending the course.
Then there is a video presentation followed by an open discussion in small groups in which the content of the video is discussed and questions answered.
Finally, over tea and coffee, a more informal discussion is encouraged to really tease out the many questions and answers that the evening will bring to the surface.
